Volunteering
About our Work
We aim to provide a welcoming start to the day, providing the people we meet with hot drinks, snacks and essentials, in the hope that a bit of interaction from the general public goes towards helping them feel human again. If nothing else, we hope we've helped them overcome hunger and cold.
We start in the city at 7:30 on Sunday mornings, spending two hours walking around the streets and handing out hot drinks, snacks, toiletries and seasonal clothing essentials to the homeless people we meet.

How often do I need to volunteer?
Whilst we go out every week on a BlindEye Soup Run, we encourage volunteers to participate once a month.
How is the BlindEye Soup Run organised?
We use an app called Band, where you'll be able to communicate with the Team Leads & other volunteers, add yourself to a Soup Run event and register for a parking space.
All kit and refreshments are provided to the Team Leads so you only need to turn up on the day with some good shoes and are able to carry a backpack of supplies.

How do I volunteer?
BlindEye are always looking for more volunteers to help us continue our good work on the streets of Nottingham by joining us on Sunday morning for a BlindEye Soup Run.
If you can spare two hours a month to join a BlindEye Soup Run, please contact us and we'll give you everything you need to volunteer with us.
